| Insiden Pemusnahan Gereja |
 |

| I would like to Thank Khairy for taking a resasonable stand on this matter. He has shown that we Malaysians can live in peace and harmony despite our differences in religious and cultural aspects. We Malaysians generally are level headed people who have mutual respect for each other. It would have great if other leaders would have echoed similiar sentiments as Khairy did. |

| Well done anak Khairy. you stood your ground on this religious issue. I am very proud of you. you showed maturity in your arguments and took a very noble firm logical and moderate stand. After all Islam is a noble and peaceful religion that promotes the well-being of all humans who are Allah's creations. We the brotherhood of Malay academics salute you. |

| Dont worry my Christian friends, there are a lot of Malay intellectuals and academics who are fully aware that Christians and Sikhs can use the religious word "Allah". So Remain calm. We the Malay academics fully support the Christian and Sikh right to practice their religion. |

Dear Mr. Khairi,
I am a Malaysian studying in the UK and i was deeply mortified upon hearing the news of such hateful crimes happening in our country. This was exacerbated from myself reading previous world history such as in 1980s India whereby religious violence flared out of control. I am confident that violence of such magnitude will never happen in Malaysia however we as Malaysians must never take for granted our unity as Malaysians.
I hope that with your position as a youth leader and MP, you will continue with your efforts to find ways to increase understanding and unity.
Thank You

Lately, you have shown to be wiser than the others in BN. I am surprised but am beginning to respect you for you have shown wisdom and change in your leadership for the better. You dare to speak out against the wrongs.
A plea to the Catholic Church - Drop the use of "Allah" http://malgal128.blogspot.com/2010/01/plea-to-catholic-church-drop-use-of.html |

No one group has come forward and claimed responsibility, but it is distressing for the authorities, for the burning of any religious buildings does no good for Malaysia's standing in the world.
I don't think we've gone far enough to address the issue, and really, any opportunist would have motive enough to stir things further. Unless these attacks are coordinated and claimed by an extremist group, Malaysians are better off buckling down and not fan the flames any further.
We can either give in to the opportunists or we can stick together and ride this out. |

| matrengganu, orang macam awak lah yang memalukan orang Islam. Bukannya nak mengutuk tindakan membakar rumah ibadat, tapi seolah-olah nak menidakkan kesalahanya. |

Many many years ago I did a unit on Islam at University as part of my Economics degree. Specialising in Middle eastern cultures and their economies I was fortunate to study under one eminent Professor. Therefore I say with authority that all middle eastern Arabs whether they are Arabic Christians such as Coptic Christians or Muslims, use the revered term "Allah" to refer to our Lord God. In South and Central Asia too all Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus and Baha'i use the term "Allah" or "Rab" or "Khudha" or "Bhagwan" or "Ishwar" among other endearing words in reference to our Lord God. I recall in my journeys in central asia and nothern India it was common to meet Hindus and Sikhs who were named after our Lord God,for example "Alla Singh" or "Allah Rakah". "Alla" or "Ulla" is an ancient endearing term used to call our Lord God by the ancient semitic peoples such as the Arabic people and their cousins the Yahudi people. To make a law that insists on people of a particular religion or community only can use the name "Allah" to describe our Lord God really baffles good reasoning. May common sense prevail "Insha Allah". |

| Kudos. But why are you alone on this. Does your Deputy echo your sentiments? What about other UMNO leaders? Khir Toyo? Mukriz? |

| Tahniah KJ atas kenyataan ini. Pemimpin UMNO perlu buktikan bahawa boleh berjuang demi keadilan seluruh rakyat Malaysia, bukan utk orang Melayu sahaja. |
